We are people just like you. We have no logo, no board of directors, no political agenda. We aren’t long-haired neo-luddites dreaming of a return to some grubby medieval society. We have jobs, in London, that we like.
Climate change is real and it is happening right now. In the face of this glaringly obvious global crisis, we have been moved to act by the false solutions of green-washed corporate greed, the hypocritical weakness of our government, of the public being treated like stunned dummies who will happily shut up and ignore the slow switching off of our life support system as long as we get to watch Britney OD on a flat screen tv.
Brought together by the Heathrow Climate Camp, we aim to increase discussion about the truthful consequences of putting relentless economic growth above and beyond the continued viability of the very systems that support us, and raise awareness of the positive alternatives and actions to be taken.
We are regular people just like you choosing to do something other than just lie down and be scared, or worse… bored.
